Chef’s Sea Eagle

Long time in progress on the middle of the workshop this big sculpture contains over 200 chef’s knives and cutlery.  Carefully blunted, the knive’s blades are safe to touch without taking from the menacing look of the predator bird. 

The choice of the material put the attention into mastery and magic of probably the very symbol of the culinary art – the chef’s knife. A tool powerful enough not only in the hands of a cook but as well by itself as an emblem for quality and taste.
Placed in a new background that symbol is released from it’s literal meaning remaining a metaphor for a sharpness, power and stability, only a part from the qualities of the mighty eagle.
