Implosion

The approach in this work is a situation of an optical illusion where from a distance the spectator can not focus their sight and have to come closer to the object in order to see it in depth.

Inspired by astronomy studies the installation represents an imploding object that attracts everything within its gravity range including the one that observe it. In order to reach that effect the object rely on people’s curiosity as its strongest gravitational force.
The message is simple – you miss to see it all if you just pass by. The closer you get the more interesting it becomes. As general truth
as this can be in many fields I still think we all need a reminder for it sometimes.

The unexpected outcome – any object placed in the center of the cube appears two dimensional if observed in a distance and it transfers in to the third dimension only if the observer shorters the distance and keeps the motion.
